Port Replicator.jpg

Port Replicator
The port replicator allows you to easily attach/detach your notebook to non-portable devices, such as monitors, printers and scanners. No more hassle to connect and disconnect all these devices every time you need to use your notebook away from your desk. The port replicator is easy to use, offers great expandability and is small and lightweight. You can even carry it with you on the road. We suggest getting one for the office and one for the home.

Full Size Pull out LAN connector   Full Size Pull out LAN connector
An integrated pull-out LAN connector delivers the convenience of connecting to the Internet if a good Wi-Fi signal isn't available. This feature also eliminates the possibility of losing or forgetting to take along a LAN dongle since there is now a full-size connector available.

HD Webcam

HD Camera
The built-in HD web camera is a great way to stay in touch with your family, friends and business associates. The handy, versatile HD camera and its easy-to-use software let you take still pictures or capture video. Use the camera with any of the popular social networks to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. Do you want to demonstrate a complex process to a colleague in another state? No problem. Do you have items you want to photograph to sell online? It's a snap! Would you like to practice a speech for school and be able to review it? Use the video capture function to record it. Uses for the built-in camera are limited only by your imagination. The camera is located just above the display in the center along with the digital microphone and status indicator light that tells you when the camera is in use.

Computrace BIOS-enabled models
Integrated Computrace® BIOS tracking agent from Absolute Software embedded in the BIOS firmware is designed to provide innovative theft recovery solutions with optional Computrace software. Employing Computrace software solutions allows organizations to efficiently monitor system use, recover stolen or missing machines, and remotely delete data, if necessary. Computrace software solutions also provide the added value of proactively enforcing computer data security policies across the entire organization, increasing both end-user and administrator productivity.

Anytime USB Charge

Anytime USB Charge
The Anytime USB Charge feature is available through certain USB 3.0 ports. Anytime USB Charge allows you to charge an external device with a USB charge connector even when the notebook is turned off. Anytime USB Charge ports can be distinguished from standard USB 3.0 ports by the small power plug icon that is adjacent to the standard USB icon on the system surface.

Note: The Anytime USB Charge feature is disabled by default. To enable the feature, go to Start menu > All Programs > Anytime USB Charge Utility and choose whether to enable the function when an AC Adapter is used or when an AC Adapter or battery is used. Note that charging a device off of the battery will quickly deplete the battery power, so you are advised to use an AC Adapter when charging an external device.

USB 3.0
Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0 ports allow you to connect USB devices. USB 3.0 technology is much faster than the previous generations of USB. USB 3.0 transfers data at up to 5Gbps and is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices, which transfer data at up to 12 Mbps and 480 Mbps, respectively. USB 3.0 ports can be distinguished from USB 1.1 and 2.0 ports by the blue “tongue” in the center of the port.

Shock Sensor

Fujitsu Shock Sensor Utility
In the event your hard disk drive experiences excessive vibration or shock, there is a possibility that the read-write head will come in contact with the rotating platter, resulting in a “head crash.” If this happens, data loss may occur. The Fujitsu Shock Sensor utility is a sophisticated hard disk drive protection system designed to minimize the likelihood of such an event.

Inside select Fujitsu notebooks and Tablet PCs there is an accelerometer that constantly senses for any sudden movement, including free falls, excessive vibration, or sudden impacts. Fujitsu Shock Sensor monitors movement from three axes: front-to-back, side-to-side, and up-and-down. The sensitivity can be adjusted by the user to accommodate different working environments.

If a sudden movement is detected, the read-write head is quickly retracted to a safe zone, reducing the possibility of a head crash and the potential loss of data. This technology reduces the risk of your hard drive being damaged and your data being lost forever.

Bluetooth Wireless
The integrated Bluetooth® feature provides wireless connectivity for wireless devices at close proximity. For example, Bluetooth can be used to wirelessly transfer/ synchronize data to and from different devices such as PDAs and cellular phones. It also communicates with peripherals such as mice, keyboards, and printers wirelessly, minimizing the constraints and clutter of cables. The typical transfer distance for a Bluetooth device is up to 30 feet. Designed to take advantage of a typical workspace or PAN (Personal Area Network), the purpose of Bluetooth is to simplify the exchange of information and interfacing of devices within a close proximity. When considering Bluetooth devices keep in mind that the system as well as the individual devices must support Bluetooth.

Fujitsu offers two types of Biometric Security devices - an integrated fingerprint or palm vein sensor. Both are designed for highly secure user authentications and offer powerful reliability versus alternative methods like passwords, PINs, and cards that can be lost, stolen, guessed or forgotten. Fujitsu biometric security options offer secure access to networks, email accounts, and other sensitive, protected systems.

Fingerprint Sensor: With a quick swipe of your fingertip, you can easily and securely log into protected systems and online accounts without manually entering passwords.

Palm Vein Sensor

Palm Vein Sensor
Using the highly complex vein pattern in the palm of your hand, the palm vein sensor is a contactless, hygienic, highly secure authentication technology that’s extremely difficult to forge. Ideal for login/single sign-on entry security, infrastructure access management, secured cloud access, and shared use environments.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
The embedded TPM 2.0 protects digital identification and data, and authenticates you into your network. It also allows users to securely store private keys and certificates for file and folder encryption, Web, email, digital signature and passwords.

TPM solutions can play a strong role in assuring compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect medical records, as well as Graham-Leech-Bliley, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulations that impose privacy and security requirements.

Quality and Reliability
The tight interaction between Fujitsu design, engineering, manufacturing and service support creates some of the highest quality products offered in the PC market. In a time when most PCs are assembled by third-party vendors, Fujitsu takes pride in its own world-class design and manufacturing capabilities..
